8 trends of post-Covid Chinese tourism

 

Being one of the most impacted industries by the Covid-19, the Chinese tourism industry has made its appearance in every media coverage since the beginning of the pandemic. Lockdown, social distancing and travel bans have changed many people’s plans. Thus, “Staycation” has forcefully become the trend, replacing “Vacation”.

After being on its knees for 4 months, now, the travel & tourism business can finally heave a sigh of relief. However, the tourism industry is no longer the same anymore. New trends have emerged in 2020 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Apparently, tourists will make more domestic trips instead of choosing international destinations. In addition, the biggest part of the tourism revenue will come from domestic tourism in China.
